Hello and welcome to my first-ever video post—and for good reason!
This week, I had the good fortune to sit down with two absolute powerhouse members of the global LGBTQ+ travel community:
President of Pink Media, Matt Skallerud (you may recognize that name from the New York Times article Nervous Corporate Sponsors Retreat from New York Pride, published just earlier this week), and
Giuseppe Giulio, proud IGLTA member and marketing unicorn at Gay.it, JN Global Project, Red Española de Destinos por la Diversidad (REDD), and beyond
Together, the three of us talked a bit about my book, The LGBTQ+ Travel Guide for Lonely Planet, and discussed the state of LGBTQ+ travel in 2025, including how queer-friendly travel relates to Pride events like World Pride in DC next month, the IGLTA Convention in Palm Springs this October, Gay Games in Valencia in 2026, and more.
